The wedding is over but the marriage has just begun and the journey continues!
After the wedding, we had an after wedding party held at my mother’s house in Paranaque City , Philippines . The after wedding dinner party was mostly for the members of our entourage and Patrick’s family who came to Manila to be at the wedding. Fresh from the excitement and the fun we had at the wedding, everyone at the party still stayed till way past midnight to party with us. We also got to serve our delicious cake at the wedding. We did not serve the cake at the reception because Shangri-la’s dessert menu for the buffet was more than enough so we decided to serve the wedding cake at the after wedding party instead.
We also got the chance to visit Boracay for a few days. Patrick’s brother joined us in Boracay since we wanted to show him more of the Philippines . We had lots of fun – good food, nice beach, relaxing massages.
Patrick and I also attended several family gatherings before we headed back to the US . We also hosted a supplier’s luncheon where we invited our suppliers for lunch at the Shanghai Bistro in Makati to thank our suppliers, sit back and enjoy each other’s company and talk about the fun stuff at the wedding.
On March 1 st, we left Manila . More than a year of preparation, several months of working on the paperwork, several weeks of stay in Manila prior to the wedding, a whole lot of parties and gatherings, the excitement and the thrill of the wedding is over but there are new adventures ahead and learning experiences await us as we continue the journey beyond the wedding.
